Conscious Breathing is essential for your physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual well-being. It enhances your creativity, intuition, and ability to live authentically.
Conscious Breathing can shift your mindset, leading to greater clarity and a more measured response to stress. It helps you feel happier and more hopeful, allowing you to see potential for positive change and become a driving force in that change.
While there are many ways to improve your life, one of the simplest and most effective methods is to change the way you breathe. When stressed, you may notice that you breathe faster and more into your chest. In contrast, when relaxed, your breathing slows and becomes deeper, using your diaphragm.
If you find yourself stressed and notice poor breathing patterns, you can quickly shift to a more relaxed state by changing your breath. Here’s a simple exercise you can do anywhere:
Sit comfortably and place one hand on your belly and the other on your chest.
Notice which hand moves first when you breathe. Aim to breathe from your diaphragm (belly) rather than your chest.
Once you’ve mastered this, establish a rhythm: inhale for 4 counts and exhale for 4 counts. Practice this for about 3 minutes and notice any differences.
