Have you ever noticed how the petals of a flower sit perfectly around the seed head? Or how intricately the seeds are patterned? Consider the spiral of snail and nautilus shells, or the spirals seen in hurricane images.

Everything in our life is connected to Sacred Geometry. Don’t worry, this isn’t about math or angles, but it does involve numbers.

This December, we’ll explore the sacred geometric patterns that exist all around us, forming the basis of life in the universe. Sacred Geometry is the blueprint of creation; it represents the patterns and shapes seen throughout nature. Everything in life stems from this geometric base, with sacred geometry explaining the energetic patterns through which creation organizes itself. It is believed that everything in nature is formed from geometric shapes—mountains are triangles, trees are circular, and so are our eyes and flower petals.

Now, let’s take a deeper look at some common shapes and their sacred meanings:

  • Circle: The most basic shape in nature, representing a never-ending loop with no beginning or end. It signifies completion, as seen when a flower fully blooms.

  • Triangle: Represents balance and harmony. Its three sides can symbolize the body, mind, and spirit. An upward triangle represents consciousness or fire, while a downward triangle symbolizes feminine energy, water, or the unconscious mind.

  • Square: Represents practical and solid energy, similar to the base of the Egyptian pyramids. Squares are grounding, safe, and dependable.

  • Spiral: A powerful symbol in Sacred Geometry, seen in fern leaves and human embryos. The spiral relates to the Fibonacci Sequence, or Golden Ratio, and connects to everything from DNA shapes to the flow of energy through chakras.

Pretty interesting, isn’t it? Take a closer look at the world around you!
