Exercise 1: Contacting Your Power AnimalStart by getting comfortable and practicing deep breathing to clear your mind. Focus on the rhythmic beat of a drum, allowing it to relax your body and consciousness. Visualize yourself walking along a path in a peaceful, natural setting. Explore the surroundings, paying attention to the sights, sounds, and smells.


Eventually, the path leads to a clearing. In the center, you find a small pile of stones. Pick them up one at a time, noticing their textures and colors, and place them in the four directions, intuiting where each one should go. As you place each stone, give thanks for your life and the energies of the directions that sustain you. You are now ready to create a protective space with the intention of allowing only energies that serve your highest good to enter.


Once you’ve completed the circle, sit in the center, close your eyes, and call on your inner strength. This is a moment of stillness as you prepare to meet your power animal. After some time, you’ll feel the presence of this animal approaching. When you feel ready, open your eyes to see it. Pay close attention to the encounter, as it will be a deeply personal experience. Engage with your power animal, listening for communication and observing its actions. Eventually, you’ll make a pact, offering something in return for its guidance.


Once the meeting ends, thank your power animal and return the stones to the center, giving thanks. Walk back down the path, returning to normal consciousness.


Exercise 2: Pachamama’s Dream

Find a comfortable position and take deep breaths, focusing on the rhythm of the drum. Visualize yourself as a tree, deeply rooted in the earth. Become aware of your body, from the roots to the branches, and feel the connection to the earth and the sky. As you breathe, feel the energy of Pachamama, Mother Earth, flowing through you.


Now, visualize entering an opening in the earth with your power animal by your side. As you journey deep into the earth, you’ll find yourself in a crystal cavern at the heart of Pachamama. She appears before you, radiating love and kindness. Absorb her gaze and listen as she communicates a special message for you.


She then wraps you in her energy, filling you with peace and clarity. She leads you back up through the earth, and as you emerge, you see her presence in a beautiful tree, connecting you to all life. She shares the secret that she exists in all living things, including you. Remember this connection whenever you feel lost, and know that you are both a dreamer and a giver of life.


Return to normal consciousness with this newfound awareness.


Exercise 3: Ancestor Journey

Tune in to the drumbeat and allow yourself to enter a deep, peaceful state. With a meaningful gift for your ancestral guide in hand, return to the earth through a tunnel, crawling until you emerge in the land of the ancestors.


Pay attention to the landscape around you. You may be met by a guide, or you may need to find your own way. This is a deeply personal journey, and the experience will unfold uniquely for you. When you meet your ancestral guide, ask any questions you may have, and listen to what they have to share. Spend as much time as needed, and when the meeting feels complete, offer your thanks and gift. Slowly return to normal consciousness, carrying the wisdom of the ancestors with you.
